In this workshop, faculty will explore how the cultivation and maintenance of socially-informed classroom environments can prepare both educators and learners for productive engagement instead of "difficult dialogs." Additional time will be dedicated to considering factors that contribute to contentious conversations and tips faculty can use in those moments to tap back into the aims of productive engagement.
