ProArts offers enrollment privileges for staff and faculty of the Boston
Arts Academy to take courses at the ProArts member schools.
For course listings and procedures, visit the Cross Registration page
of this website. Unlike ProArts students participating in this program,
you will need the signature of the Headmaster on the application form
you will present to the host Registrar.

below:
Berklee College of Music:
Faculty Development Coursework
With the approval of the BAA headmaster, eligible BAA faculty may take
up to one course per semester or up to two courses during the summer for
a total of two courses per year at Berklee College of Music. Enrollment
will follow existing policies governing ProArts Consortium exchange students;
the course available to BAA faculty will be identical to those offered
within the consortium. Within these policies, all courses are eligible
for a waiver of tuition.
Graduate Coursework
BAA faculty members must have applied and been accepted into the Berklee
College/ The Boston Conservatory Cooperative Master of Music in Jazz Studies
(MMJ) in order to take advantage of a tuition benefit as described above.
Applications should be made through the Boston Conservatory Office of
Admissions, (617) 912-9115. Once the faculty member has been accepted
into the MMJ program, the enrollment procedure is the same as for the
faculty development coursework at Berklee.
Boston Architectural Center:
BAA faculty and staff may take one course each semester or during the
summer at the Boston Architectural Center. Courses are eligible for waiver
of tuition only. All other charges are the responsibility of the BAA staff
or faculty member. Courses may be taken on a space-available basis only.
Enrollment in graduate level study is available only with permission of
the BAC Program Director in charge of the course area. Enrollment will
follow existing the cross-registration policies and procedures governing
ProArts exchange students.
The Boston Conservatory:
Graduate Coursework ONLY
BAA faculty members must have applied and been accepted into The
Boston Conservatory master’s program. With the approval of the BAA
Headmaster, eligible BAA faculty may take up to one course per semester
for a total of two courses per year. Summer courses are limited and may
not be available. Courses are offered on a space available basis. Courses
are eligible for a waiver of tuition only; all other charges are the responsibility
of the BAA faculty member enrolled.
Emerson College:
Emerson has allotted one course per semester for a total of four courses
per year to BAA staff members. The distribution of these courses is to
be determined by the BAA Headmaster. Courses may be taken either in the
day program or in the Continuing Education Division of the College, but
must be registered through the Division of Continuing Education (617)
824-8280. The voucher must be taken to the Continuing Education Office
located at 80 Boylston Street. Courses are offered on a space available
basis beginning the first day of each class. Only tuition charges are
waived; the BAA faculty member is responsible for all other charges.
Graduate Coursework
A BAA faculty member must have applied and been accepted into the Emerson
College graduate program in order to take advantage of a tuition benefit
as described above. Application should be made through the Emerson College
Office of Graduate Admission (617) 824-8610. Once the faculty member has
been accepted into the graduate program, the enrollment procedure is the
same as for the faculty development coursework at Emerson College as indicated
above.
Massachusetts College of Art:
Independent Coursework
With the approval of the BAA Headmaster, eligible staff may take up to
one course per semester or up to two courses during the summer for a total
of two courses per year. Only courses offered by the Program of Continuing
Education (PCE) at MassArt are eligible for a waiver of tuition. Enrollment
is on a space available basis. Only tuition charges may be waived; BAA
faculty are responsible for all other course fee charges. Tuition credits
will be given.
Degree-track Matriculation
Unless a BAA faculty member has been accepted into an advanced degree
program (MFA or MSAE) at MassArt, waivers for individual courses are not
applicable. Eligible BAA faculty may take up to one course per semester
or up to two courses during the summer for a total of two courses per
year as described above.
School of the Museum of Fine Arts:
The Museum School has allotted a total of three spaces per semester during
the academic year and two spaces in the summer (evening or day program)
for BAA staff and faculty. Distribution of these spaces to BAA staff and
faculty will be determined by the Headmaster. Courses are available on
a space available basis. Only tuition costs are waived and the BAA staff
or faculty member is responsible for all other charges. Museum School
policy does not allow graduate degree-track matriculation for part-time
students.
